About Me

About me.

I hail from Toronto, Canada, the home of such luminaries as Margaret Atwood, Samantha Bee, Rob Ford, and Drake.

I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Denver and Core Faculty member at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research.

My research aims to address metaphysical issues that arise at the intersection of philosophy of action and mind.  I work on a range of topics, including effort, self-control, agent causation, mental action, and the ontology of mind.

I hold a B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Columbia University in New York.  Before joining the faculty at the University of Denver, I held a postdoctoral teaching fellowship at Carthage College.
